Our winter routine begins in earnest so watch for various special location visits over January as the cold weather sometimes keeps us indoors a bit more often.

Wishing you all the best fun and relaxation over the Holiday Break! Remember there are a few play days available from the 29th to the 2nd if you need them!

Winter Activites

As the snow deepens, we find ourselves making fires, using sleds, snowshoes and ropes more often. This can be very routine at times and other times it is a special adventure! We hope to snowshoe at Wanuskewin, visit Beaver Creek, pop into Gather Market and hit a few outdoor rinks for some skating in the month ahead.

Look for used gear at Life Outside, Top Shelf Sports, and Saskatoon Sports Exchange.

Our Classroom

Winter is here and cold temperatures bring us back into the city limits. We will play outside for short stints even at -20C but need safe, comfortable, warm play spaces on these days. This classroom will be a play area where we have developmentally appropriate items, a place to eat/relax and can extend our learning at the same time.

Other warm up indoor locations include Gather Market, Remai, Saskatoon libraries, and U of S Geology Building to name a few.

On 'spring-like' days we will try get out to our faves - Furdale and Sutherland.

Just so very grateful to take children out on the land in every way and in every season. It seems that there are so many beautiful moments where we grow so very fond of the outdoors as young children and I know that it was true for me and true for my daughter - here in this page as a 12 year old...
