Solstice Bonfire Celebration

As we approach the end of our calendar year as well as the longest nights of the year, it is really fun to meet around a fire. Perhaps the short days leave us longing for more activity outside or maybe it's exciting to play out in the dark and for it to not be bedtime yet!!

It is also a really great time for families to meet each other and keep on building friendships and community that children can thrive in. It is wonderful to make a friend when we get together.

Whatever the reason, we will have a get together for fire, food and fun!

Pack your roasting sticks, hot chocolate/tea and your favorite fireside foods.

Blankets and folding chairs may be a great addition too.

Dress for the weather and lots of snow play.

Extra mitts and socks are always a good idea to have in your bag!

The weather often dictates our specific activities because we all know that putting skates on in -20c is challenging! It will be great to find a place with a fire pit, tables, sledding/skating options as well as a little bit o' the woods for lantern/flashlight hide 'n seek games!

Do let me know your location suggestions if you have them. I love to learn about new and magical places. We will choose the ideal spot earlier in the week to give everyone a chance to prepare or find ride shares.
